After I woke and stood to my feet in the street, I noticed the silence of the city. There was not but the sound of a light wind. I was left behind after the evacuation. For some strange reason I could feel that they were close. It was not long before they would find me and kill me I was sure of it. I stared at the ground until I heard the booms over head. With a swift jerk I aimed my face toward the sky with my eyes wide in a scared questioning manner. I saw them fall as burning angels from the heavens. The fear that I felt was no longer there. I couldn't explain to myself why, but after the incidents that took place soon after, I didn't have to.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
